Today is Evelyn's first day of school!
Here's another clip of us getting ready for the shot (coz the camera was in video mode)
I still remember her look when I carried her along the corridor towards the infant room. Very cute! Eyes big big, mouth open and head turning left and right. She was very excited!
We left for lunch and returned in the afternoon, to find her eyes filled with tears and red from crying. A caregiver was giving her her "ne ne". Poor baby. And then we hear poo poo poo.... She pooed! Instead of putting the bottle down and put her on her potty (this is what I always do at home), the caregiver continue to feed her. And finally, when she is not drinking anymore, she was brought to a rocker. Oh... I was shocked! Immediately I asked why wasnt her diaper changed since she pooed? And the answer was... oh we only check every 3hr-ly! And I asked when was the last diaper change. OMG.. she has to sit in her shit for another one and half hour... my poor ah B.....
When we returned to pick her up at night, she was lying on another rocker. This time she was surrounded by babies and kids, all getting ready waiting for their parents to pick them up.
Once home, she drank hungrily. And after a quick bath, she slept (like a real baby)! Occassionally, I can hear her laughter! Thanks god she has no problem sleeping tonight. Today must have been a real tiring day for her!
There is another thing to add... After we left her at sunflowerbaby house, home is really werid without her. The cot is empty, the house "feels" empty (even though there are 2 big adults at home). And I cant wait going back to check on her. I was telling daddy, having baby is like picking up smoking. Before you pick up the habit, you can do without it no problem and still live a happy life. But once you are into smoking, your life changed. You get addicted. I dont mean to encourage smoking, but today every minutes when we are apart my mind kept going back to Evelyn in school. I never expect that having a baby is so "addictive".....
